*Malbec or Zinfandel Wine Soap
$13.00
Malbec is a red wine imported from Mendoza, Argentina, located in the foothills of the Andes Mountains. The region’s high altitude is ideal for cultivating Malbec grapes, which produce thicker grape skins compared to most other grape varieties. This thicker skin leads to higher concentrations of resveratrol, a polyphenolic compound known to reduce dark spots, support wound healing, and protect against photoaging.
Our Zinfandel wine soap shares the same properties as Malbec. Both wines, Malbec and Zinfandel, contain antioxidants, flavonoids, and tannins that are absorbed through our skin. This also helps boost collagen, restore skin elasticity, neutralize free radicals, reduce dryness, and tone the skin. Since Zinfandel grape skins are lighter in color, the resveratrol content is lower than in Malbec due to the grape skin’s thickness and darker color.
Our essential oil blend in this soap bar creates a synergistic effect that is more powerful than that of a single oil. Singular essential oils are one-dimensional. However, when essential oils are blended, the healing effects of each oil work in tandem, creating a more powerful impact that enhances the synergy of the individual oils and provides a high degree of healing and therapeutic benefits. The oils used in this wine soap are bergamot, eucalyptus, and clove essential oils. This blend combines top, middle, and low notes, creating a symphony of benefits that is three times greater.
Fresh & Natural Ingredients:
Size: 4oz / 113g
Ingredients:
coconut, olive, castor, almond, &grapeseed oils, kaolin clay, blended essential oils, Sutter Home Zinfandel. Catena Malbec Wine, mallotus philippensis herb powder, distilled water, food-grade Sodium Hydroxide
- Coconut, olive, almond, grapeseed, and castor oils are super oils that protect against the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB rays, retain a glow, tighten skin, and treat acne. These super oils create a creamy lather containing vitamins A, B, E, and K.
- Kaolin clay is the oldest clay used in many personal hygiene products. It is gentle and stimulates circulation to the application areas without over-drying.
- Mallotus Philippensis is an herb powder from India that adds color to our soap. Malloutus, or “monkey face,” is a flowering tree whose fruit is used as a parasitic for skin issues like scabies or ringworms, against dandruff, and as a natural conditioner for hair.
- Essential oils are a blend defined in notes: 'high,' 'medium,' 'low,' and 'base note. ' When five oil notes are blended, they create a symphony of synergy because five notes are more potent than one essential oil note. Each oil is carefully selected to create a unique blend that is five times stronger and offers a sweet scent that doesn't overpower the senses.
- The wines of Malbec and Zinfandel enhance hydration and reduce redness and itchiness, resulting in stronger and more elastic skin. An added benefit is the grape seed's chlorophyll, an antioxidant that supports and nourishes skin cells. It also encourages damaged tissue to regenerate and restore the skin's ability to retain moisture.
- Food-grade USP sodium hydroxide is a strong alkaline compound used to saponify soap. It is also used in food processing, such as curing olives and making toothpaste, as well as giving shine to German Bagels. This same lye turns oils into soap. When an acid and a base (oil/fat) combine, they neutralize each other and make a salt called “Soap.”
- Distilled water is purified to remove minerals and metals that can contaminate soap, developing what is known as “soap scrum”. This is what leads to ineffectiveness and a shorter shelf life. Using distilled water is a better ingredient when purity, consistency, and control over variables are important.
The healthiest soap to use is usually a natural soap that doesn’t contain harsh chemicals, synthetic fragrances, or irritants. Choosing soaps with moisturizing ingredients, such as olive oil, coconut oil, or goat’s milk, is especially beneficial for dry skin.
