Geranuim Rose Essential Oil

Price

$25.00

Geranium Rose Egyptian was used by the ancient Egyptians, who first extracted the essential oil in South Africa. It is a perennial shrub cultivated worldwide, valued for its rich, rosy floral notes and versatile uses in perfumes. Geranium has a sweet, floral, herbal, and slightly spicy aroma that enhances rose scents and blends well with other notes, creating a fresh, uplifting, and relaxing fragrance. Its popularity increased when it was introduced to Europe in the early 17th century, not only in perfumery but also surprisingly in the culinary arts, such as flavored cakes, jams, jellies, and ice creams. Interestingly, it was also used to flavor tobacco, becoming the signature scent of the Lake District in northwest England, known as ‘Lakeland Scent’.

Certified organic geranium rose oil (Pelargonium graveolens) is not derived from a GMO plant, and its natural purity enhances the overall essential oil experience. MCT fractionated coconut oil acts as a superior carrier oil for essential oils. This lightweight, odorless, and non-greasy oil is ideal for skincare and massage products that won't clog pores. It is a smooth, stable oil perfect for beauty formulations. MCT (multichannel triglyceride)-fractionated coconut oil provides nutrients and is readily absorbed into the skin due to its lightness. In contrast, olive oil is thicker when applied, making it less readily absorbed by the skin, and it has a distinct odor that could interfere with aromatherapy.

Soaps Creams & Things do not use mineral oil as a carrier because it is a petroleum byproduct that can cause issues when mixed with essential oils. Since it is petroleum-based, it is poorly absorbed by the skin. While it creates a film on the skin, it does not nourish it; therefore, it's best to avoid using essential oils with mineral oil as a carrier. As a cost-effective alternative to high-quality carrier oils, mineral oil tends to clog pores. Better options, such as MCT fractionated coconut oil, sweet almond oil, jojoba, grapeseed, or apricot kernel oils, are far more suitable for therapeutic purposes. Using oil diffusers with mineral oil is problematic because its thickness can clog the diffuser, hindering proper dispersal and absorption of essential oils and reducing the benefits of aromatherapy. When used in a diffuser, mineral oil can aerosolize into a mist that irritates the lungs, potentially causing coughing or shortness of breath.

MCT oil, a fractionated coconut oil, serves as a superior carrier oil for essential oils. Both oils are lightweight, odorless, and non-greasy, making them excellent choices for skincare and massage products that won't clog pores. It is a smooth, stable oil ideal for beauty formulations. MCT (multi-chain triglyceride) fractionated coconut oil provides more nutrients, is light, and absorbs easily into the skin. In contrast, olive oil is thicker when applied, making it less readily absorbed by the skin, and it has a distinct odor.

Key Benefits of Organic MCT Fractionated Coconut Oil:

Purity: Organic certification means no synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or GMOs were used in growing the coconuts

Light & Fast Absorbing: unlike solid coconut oil, it stays liquid and absorbs quickly, leaving skin feeling moisturized rather than greasy.

Odorless: Its neutral scent pairs well with any essential oil without overpowering its aroma.

Non-Comedogenic: It’s less likely to clog pores, making it ideal for facial use and helping prevent breakouts.

Stable and Long-Lasting: it has a long shelf life and resists rancidity, ensuring your blends stay fresh longer.

Versatile: Works well in rollerballs, lotions, creams, beard oils, and as a makeup remover

Environmental/Ethical: For those concerned about unsustainable farming, organic often implies better practices, especially compared to non-organic (which sometimes blends with palm oil and deforestation).

Texture: Virgin coconut oil is solid at room temperature, making it heavier and more challenging to mix. Fractionation helps keep the oil in a consistent liquid state.

This is the top choice for dilution and topical applications due to its superior texture and performance.

Shipping/Refunds & FAQ

Shipping Policy

FREE SHIPPING AND DELIVERY IN THE U.S. ON ALL ORDERS OVER $50

We ship your order from our facility within three business days of receiving it (during promotional periods, orders may be delayed due to high demand). We ship via USPS and UPS. You will receive automatic shipping and delivery notification emails and/or SMS messages to keep you apprised of the shipping status. We ship using only traceable methods, so once a package shows as delivered by the carrier, we are not liable if the recipient does not receive it. Unfortunately, porch piracy is a rampant problem everywhere.

Please be aware that when shipping to very hot climates, some of our products, such as lip balm, solid lotion bars, and body butter, may melt or separate. The products are generally still usable once they re-solidify.

Refund/Returns Policy

Scent is very subjective, so please read the scent descriptions before purchasing. Due to the handmade nature of our products, we are unable to accept returns based on a dislike of the scent. We are also unable to accept returns for any opened or used products, except in cases of product defects. Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, unfortunately, we cannot offer you an exchange. We will accept returns only for replacement or exchange; no refunds are allowed. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, unopened, have intact safety seals (if applicable for that product), and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Damaged Shipments
While completely out of our control, damage during shipping sometimes occurs. We will work with you to rectify the situation. If the packaging appears damaged on the outside upon delivery, please refuse the package from the carrier and let us know immediately. For standard carrier shipments (i.e., US Postal Service, UPS, FedEx, etc.), we must be notified (by phone or email) of any damage (or other problems) and provided with all additional information within two business days of your receipt of the products. We require that this notification include detailed pictures of the damaged package and products so that we can file an insurance claim with the carrier.

Return Shipping
You MUST email us at info@soapsandthings.us for approval of returns or exchanges before shipping. Once a return is approved, Soaps Creams & Things will provide the shipping address. Please include a copy of the order invoice. You will be responsible for paying your own return shipping costs. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary. If you are shipping an item over $50, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We do not guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
