Additionally, the air bubbles are a sign of minimal processing and are a natural byproduct of raw honey extraction. Coconut, olive, almond, grapeseed, and castor oils are super oils that protect from the sun’s harmful rays of UVA&B, retain glow, tighten skin, and treat acne. These super oils create a creamy lather containing vitamins A, B, E, and K. Kaolin clay is the oldest clay used in many personal hygiene products. It is gentle and stimulates circulation to areas of the application without over-drying.
Food-grade USP sodium hydroxide is a potent alkaline compound used to saponify soap. It is also used in food processing, such as curing olives, toothpaste, and giving shine to German bagels. This same lye turns oils into soap. When an acid and a base (oil/fat) combine, they neutralize each other and make a salt called “Soap.”
